Robert has more than 35 years of experience in the property assessment field. He worked for the Comptroller of the Treasury, State of Tennessee for 30 years before retiring in February 2015 when he started solo law practice. He has worked extensively with local assessment officials on property tax issues.
Robert has been frequent speaker and presenter on property tax and assessment issues and authored the Tennessee Assessment Law course offered by the Tennessee Division of Property Assessments. He is a Senior Specialty Instructor for the IAAO teaching Assessment Administration and Tax Policy.
Robert's primary area of legal practice is in the areas of property tax, local finance and general government issues.
