Amy has over three decades of experience working in mass appraisal. She is currently the Chief Deputy Assessor in Riverside County, California. Previously she worked at the Polk County, Iowa Assessor's Office as the Director of Litigation. She is an Iowa Certified Assessor and a State Certified Residential Real Property Appraiser. She holds both the Residential Evaluation Specialist (RES) and the Assessment Administration Specialist (AAS) designations from the International Association of Assessing Officers. She is past-board member of the Iowa Real Estate Appraiser Examining Board, the Institute of Iowa Certified Assessors and the IAAO.

In addition to serving on numerous committees in Iowa, Amy has served as the IAAO President, as well as numerous other IAAO committees, such as Planning and Rules Committee, Budget Committee, Technology Special Committee, USPAP Committee and as Chair of the Professional Development Committee. Amy is also a Senior Specialty Instructor for IAAO, and in 2017 she was honored to be given the Clifford B. Allen Most Valuable Member award.
