Marion Johnson brings over 35 years of assessment experience to TEAM Consulting. Marion has worked his entire professional career in the property assessment field as a property appraiser. With his educational background (MBA, Pittsburgh State University) and professional experience, he is uniquely qualified to provide a business perspective to the government side of the assessment industry.

Marion has been extremely involved in the International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO) organization over three decades. He has served on education and professional development committees, has been a member of its board of directors, and was elected president in 2007.

Marion is a CAE (Certified Assessment Evaluator) with the IAAO. He has been teaching for IAAO for over 25 years and has written and taught a number of assessment-related courses for other professional assessment organizations.

In 2018, Marion was nominated as an IAAO Fellow with the FIAAO designation in the inaugural fellow class. In 2024, he was awarded IAAO’s Professional Development Lifetime Achievement Award.

In addition to his involvement in every aspect of the assessment community, Marion has also served as a member and president of his local school board.
